film et parc

today, i got blood sucked out of me. screw weak genetics.

had an awkwardly abrupt and cut conversation with M. Rouge. so annoying.
*fingers crossed*

then movies with paris. Orphan ugh it wasn't a ghost type of a horror....it was a demented murder tale...but meh it was ok...a change of stories. i mean, how often do you see a pseudo- 9 year old seducing a mid 30s father?
we tried to sneak in the ugly truth but paris was too weak and succumbed to her guilt.

puis, we went to Schabarum Park.....this huge arse park in front of the mall. walked for hours (aka 30mins or so) meh it was ok. nice weather. breezy. cool waeather. shaded. APES reunion. on fait rein.

et après, we went to target to buy my hairdye.....dark golden brown.

olive dyed my hair - ammonia suicide.
under certain lightings at NIGHT - you can roughly tell. hopefully the solar power will unleash my brown-ness!

packed for freaking SF. ugh. wish me luck.

by the way, i got my skates today!

anglomania

today, i went shopping with Erica.
haven't seen her since graduation.
at first, i honestly didn't recognized her.

went to men's shoes - akward shoe salesman.
lied to me, saying he'd give me the other color in the sale price - die
i got Clarks Original Desert Boot in taupe suede
when i tried it on, it was unexpectedly light and sooooooooooft.
loved it. named them Andrèas (sand suede soon to come)

aside: i found out that the design for the desert boot was unchanged since 1950. used by british armed forces....how historical.

went to gap, h&m, j. crew, sephora BLAH

and then B-A-N-A-N-A republic.
found two jackets i liked: one normal lined electric blue wind breaker with this cool Mp3 pocket with a hole for the earphones. ($39.99)....i want it so badly....
and the other was this balmacaan meets mackintosh dull dark olive green rain coat that ive seen the last time i went but they $99 something....now it was a mere $64....from the original price of $198. i love sales. Erica said i should get them since i could always return it....but guess what. i love it so....it's mine.

et après, erica and i lounged at cold stones for 4 hours talking....about the near future....sigh
tu me manquerai beaucoup...

P.S. M. Rouge, je t'm bcp

off to blockbuster...

la tristesse

i woke up to heat and ill news.
i don't want to lose him. yet minds are tempted towards sadness.
i believe that things happen for a reason. perhaps not by faults but rather by minute external forgetfulness.
feelings fled, questions arrived. confusion settled.

i turn to my enemy of hope to (obviously) hope.

this world is never fair, never real.

but i conclude: la tristesse durera toujours.

not'ing

woke up 7am sharp naturally.
had a conversation with M. Paul Poirier. he still won't tell me this upcoming season's programs. but he was....naturally nice and normal sans attitude. i gave him the cheer he deserves.

had an 800 calorie breakfast and died. aka listen to bb ost.
then sushi, then blade guard fail.

saw yes, man.......

bleh bleh boring day.

tombé? entre? barbant?

j'm desplat

today i woke up to a herd of screaming. change of plans - had to go to nogales swapmeet and experience my first heat stroke. so i got homemade horchata.

après, we went to soup-lantation, blehhhhhhhhhhhh......

i died in the car, the airconditioning is retarded. so we went to aunt's house to cool off. i watched clips from olympic diving 2008 so i was happy. GO QIN KAI!

puis, we got home and finally watched the movie we rented - the painted veil. the progression was a little slow, the relationships and interactions between characters were odd, as in ....degree in drama - back in the day...they didn't use profanity and were oh so direct...?
but overall it was a great movie - it seemed like i was expecting the typical war love movie but it was slightly unique above the rest. the soundtrack was sex. the era was sex. what more do you expect?

then we went to chino - sista et olive went to watch drag me to hell...i went with mother to walmart. bumped into ava and co.

and got home to my own copy of THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK! finally, bye youtube!

i love you alexandre desplat!

truths

lame day. idleness and questioning.

hope for better next:

allez!

today was fun: i woke up to olive using an electronic pencil sharpener and heat so i immediately took a douche.
baby was over so it was fun.

15:00 - ciao , je vais à(vec) paris
harry potter avec paris: there were grossly awkward parts in the film. oh ha and that hand in the water part - i jumped. overall: bland. character development was poor, the skipping seasons thing was lame once more, cheesy love stories, tom riddle was freaky, butter beer tempted me, too sudden, and too empty. #7 better be good. p.s. cormac freaked us out.

then we Z pizza-ed, bleh.

then ICE SKATING! once again, my first pair were dull, my second: the left blade was mildy loose - it clicked as i walked.

i practiced going backwards more, stumbled a few times on my own. but when we took self-timer pictures.....-2.00 deductions all over.

on the way home, i almost hit a stray dog. damn, so close to a photoshoot.

then radio kareoke session: i will always love you - whitney houston

meh nothing happened.

ended with yet another diabetic life plaza outing.......

bland

today, i had to wake up at 10:30 to go to this lame VBS christian propaganda program for a hotdog lunch.......-_______________-
soon after, i died in the heat trapped in the house watching people leave to go watch harry potter...but hey j'y vais demain avec paris!
so all i did was finish up my mohair scarf (picture soon), watch cash cab, and rediscovered my 80s phase when i watch one hit wonders on VH1.
'round 19h i decided to go for a soak in the pool and have dinner.

i made: provolone-salami panini with honey mustard spring green salad and sparkling apple juice. that was quite relaxante.

then we watched "Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana" - and later went to Life to feast on popcorn chicken and this gigantic bowl of shaved ice (japanese style)

i went on the elliptical for 10 mins.......i'll burn it off tomorrow when i practice my salchows.

sigh: must not gain weight.

je suis prête pour la fiesta!

don't stop me now

after nearly a month after allyson's birthday plans, we finally went skating.
i regret not buying my own skates earlier because the 1st pair i got today were super dull and had no grip, the second one, the front ends were slightly loose...but still had a nice blade.

so master erika taught me how to do a waltz jump! success! but had 2 giant falls.

on top of that i can skate backwards now. next goal: backwards crossovers.

anyways, my feet hurt; should've worn thicker socks.

weirdly, the cold was manageable with a tee since i was pretty active trying all my elements for my new short program skated to the mission impossible soundtrack hahaha (english bunny boy)

afterwards ,we ate at panera bread - terry took her sweet arse time aka two hours....

off to relax

im ready for saturday night!

life

i saw a haunting in Connecticut; seance m'a donné peur.
had problems sleeping - had to sleep on my back, having the fear of shadows or sudden apparitions of past souls. anyways, tetris lulled me to death.

9am: woke up to GREEN RED GREEN RED! ma mère complaining that the electrical outlets were out.

but it was good - i got to fix my clock, took a shower and watch make it or break it....yes.

puis, i lift the piano....well keyboard upstairs. it's a FULL keyboard with a permanent stand - not exactly portable-friendly. i almost revisited anton* up the stairs.

today was nice - calm - now learning benjamin and daisy my absolute favorite piano piece. finally found someone who transcribed it. and yeah, i am musically dyslexic.

woah - haven't had dinner and on top of that i burned 500 kalories.

félicitations!

LA meets LA

woke up to junk mail. but good thing i carefully read the subtitle: NEW SCHOOL HOUSING INFORMATION!

mystery unveiled: Ben.
(soon, FB)

he's a laid back mec, jazz guitar, seemed nice.
previously i anticipated for a musician; *woo*

awkward footwear clip.

earlier, i told terry his nombre: benjamin. her response "button?"
ironically he's from n'orleans.

anyways, more to learn. kill loans. HP 12am - cancelled.

à bientôt

nuit blanche

solution: autour.
my usual solution to insomnia is either food, a placebo of advil, or simply sleeping backwards (head at the foot board)

après, i had a dream of life in reverse after having the thought of physically rotating my bed around as opposed to a lame "mattress flip"

puis, je l'ai fait

haute couture parte deux:

alexis mabille: cheap student work

Valentino: impressed me - a change from its vampy, lustrous, femininity. it is (for) now dark, cynical, and Mcqueen?! we finally see lace done right (Chanel FAIL!) but we saw this from alexander....what A/W 2006-2007? but whatever, this was a pleasure to see very feminine but in a Lanvin type of sexy. theopening piece was absolute: light, strong, soft, severe. then comes the bow embellishments....flowers.... -___________- not 100% l'original but still beautiful. the use of intricate headpieces, i think, was a major factor in the McQueen look mixed with the victorian "i'm tapped in a greehouse with butterflies" type of scenario. ruffles....pleating.....ruching.....glitz/ glamour....very valentino in a very different way. love it. (p.s. that coat shown above* resembles a black iris.....<3)

la città; nuova e vecchia

venice

i've always had a thing for that hackneyed romance: the masquerade, carnevals, the maze of canals, the epitome of lax european life. Just the mix of those creates a sublime desire of mystery and haphazard stories.

As a kid, i read a book called The Thief Lord. A story that captured the character of venice. The and few days back i watched the lame movie rendition on youtube.

With Delobel and Schoenfelder's 2005-2006 FD that caught my attention in europeans. the baroque, the dark romance, the ....difference. It was a different kind of love. old yet new.

next, it was the travel channel entrapment at chris' house - watching samantha brown. finally seeing venice as it is: quaint, small, dreamlike. It seemed like the "original newport" at parts that intermixes with the magnificence of classic venetian architecture and art. That alone makes the city so envied. It brought to life the work of Canaletto.

My last high school essay happened to be written on venice. In reading the book City of Falling Angel by John Berendt, i was exposed to a non-fictional account of drama about the city and its actually happenings; the public figures, the familial glass artisan, the café owner...

and now reviving Lagerfeld's Chanel Cruise 2009-2010. Genius.

venezia: my new runaway city.

toujours

As i browsed Haute Couture fashion week, i found all designers....restrained. perhaps like lacroix who is in financial peril...limited by budgets and blah blah. surprisingly the simplicity was elegant and respected. although we did not experience the usual couture shock, the wearability and classicism found in most shows were a nice ode to the roots of couture.

In Dior, galliano stated that he wasted to reach back to the format of old couture shows...he skipped the blaring music and the clothes were rather demeaning. i've heard "expensive Parisian hookers" but whatever, i've always disliked galliano's "crazy genius" (but that RTW S/S 2007...<3)

Chanel: after having great successes in the previous seasons, Lagerfeld...left us bland. Though bold and rich in color choice, his stylings were rather old and tacky. I especially disliked the victorian look of lace up booties that matched the outfit accompanied by black lace - reminded me of that victorian shit japanese girls love.... -___________- however, towards the end of the lineup, the color palette quickly shifted to nude, this is the simplicity and artistry that i love. somewhat egyptian in the gold embellishments and the loin cloth-esque drapery, it felt rather out of place...then it immediately shifted back to the jewel-toned 80s meets victorian france but now it magically refined it self though ....im still not a fan of that awkward tail-cape look. but, we do see some signature chanel here, the black and nude chiffon gown that reminded me quickly of the Monaco collection previously. All in all, this was a great show that came right after the "failure" that is Dior.

Givenchy: Tisci crafts things meticulously and in an innovative manner. Using a theme of N. Africa/ Morocco, a theme so hackneyed, the designer cleverly brought the Givenchy flare to new height. Though not a fan of the ombre, but the cuts of the dresses and the tiny and somewhat subtle Moroccan elements truly made the show (the traditional scarf pattern found enlarged in the final dress). Overall, edgy yet pretty - a cliché motif.

Armani: old and boring as usual. although there were some pretty stuff...meh too old for me.

Lacroix: bitterness that was forced to be sweetened. we all know of his financial situation and we definitely see in in the quantity and vivacity of his show. Set in a a quite location, the audience seemed rather small for such a historic moment. The models were the only ones paid, most of the show was free: the food buffet, the setting, the LABOR of all the seamstresses and embroiders....i also heard he used old fabric he found somewhere....hmmm. but the clothes: though it wasn't the audacious lacroix we're used to seeing, i heavily adored and respected the mature and chic simplicity and control. Perhaps a mix of creative age, emotion, and money, the rahter somber and dark color palette proved of the lacroix's genius. Hearing comments of difference and similarity to past designers, i feel that this was truly lacroix. we see the med influences, the head wraps reminded me of dries or even a greek element. The sleek black skin wrapping tops/ dresses brought memories of mundane contemporary dancer's costume. However, he truly wanted the collection to be ever-so parisian chic, and it was. But it was when the bride came when truly, all the emotion pour out. presenting in a glowing fashion, the bride became a symbol of hope and optimism. As the media flooded the room, personal friends and people of the industry shared the appreciation and love for the man. then comes a banner saying: Christian Lacroix Forever.

Indeed, hope to see you then

bland

last night, for "Exercise" walked to gimin's house to walk to jack-in-the-box.......
it was a really long walk........let me check on map quest.....hahahah 2.47 miles....but whatever, had a chicken sandwich and a taco, gimin had the other.

on the way back, lisa, linda, gloria (?)....spotted us..............gross.

in the end i had to walk back UP the huge hill the i live on. probably burned off the sandwich and taco.

now playing zelda: oracle of ages............."my life is average"

and one and four made two, but it's 5!

finalement. on the way to pick up petit frère, i grabbed the mail and dashed off to lycée. waited. went through mail, the very last envelope...merde! COLLEGEBOARD. *glows*

with virtually no sleep i was impressed how i managed to transport myself in a car. but what?! 5?!

APES, 4. hate you, i deserve a 5. do you know how much kilowatts i saved by switching my light bulbs to thus decrease carbon emissions from production which could've lead to giant panda's niche and which extrapolates to eutrophication?!

Rhet, 4. i'm happy. thank you hannah montana. thank you mesdjian for all those annoying in-class essays. screw you feminist essay. can't believe i pulled of that day. and got a 5 on the 2nd. gah. dreams do come true.

i feel accomplished.

finalement.
